The CC-A screens for difficulties affecting speech, language and interaction in adults with conditions that may affect communication, such as specific language impairment (SLI); as autism spectrum disorder (ASD); learning difficulties; or acquired brain injury. It also helps to identify subtle communicative difficulties indicative of a broader phenotype in individuals who are related to people with heritable disorders such as an ASD. (CC-A manual, p. 2)
